Traditional flour for Injera, pancakes and African desserts

Description :
This white corn flour is very popular in Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine, particularly for preparing Injera bread , but also for sweet dishes such as Motogo , an African rice pudding made from corn, or the famous Boere Pap from South Africa.

Made from carefully selected and degermed corn grains, this flour is fine, mild and naturally gluten-free , making it a healthy and easily digestible alternative to wheat flour.

🍽 Uses:

  • Preparation of Injera bread (often mixed with teff)

  • Making Motogo (traditional African rice pudding)

  • Pancakes, galettes , and flatbreads like Boere Pap

  • Also ideal for thickening sauces or making gluten-free pastries

🌽 Ingredients:

  • 100% degermed white corn kernels

ORIGIN & KNOW-HOW

A story shaped in the earth

Each Jebena is unique. Born from the earth of the high plateaus, the clay is harvested, purified and then shaped by hand without a potter's wheel, according to a thousand-year-old technique.

After being sun-dried, the piece is fired in an open-air kiln, giving it its characteristic black color and heat resistance. By purchasing this product, you directly support a cooperative of 15 artisans and preserve an intangible cultural heritage.
